Sensational Colour is a hands-on workshop that explores our relationship to colour and chromatic systems, looking at historical theories and contemporary approaches to negotiating colour in painting. 

Colour is fundamental to painting. It pushes space and elicits emotion. Colour never sits still, moving according to what is around it, both physical and cultural. 

Join Evan for this master class in colour experimentation and loads of arty goodness!

Evan has MFA (1^st Class) from Elam, and is a long-standing supporter of the visual arts, not only as an artist, but as a collector, sponsor, teacher, and advocator. He runs Akepiro Street Studios, home to over a dozen artists since 2008, is Global Brand Ambassador for both Schmincke Artist Colours and da Vinci Artist Brushes, and is a regular contributor to community art events.

Recent exhibitions include 8^th Beijing Biennale and Sydney Contemporary. His exhibition Quad is at Hastings City Art Gallery from 28^th April to 18^th July 2023. Evan is represented by Paul Nache Gallery.
