Saturday 16 April 10:30am to 1pm
Feed your creativity and make your own zine or artist book! Zines are hand-made publications — magazines, books and comics — of all shapes and sizes. They are a simple way to combine text, images, materials and fresh ideas. Anyone can make one, and they can be about absolutely anything you like.
Following a successful season of public workshops at Te Papa and Pataka Art + Museum, visual artist and zinemaker Kerry Ann Lee will lead a zine-making workshop for adults and young people (ages 12+) .
The workshops will cover:
> creative content generation
> collage and image making
> xeroxography, binding and reproduction techniques and an opportunity to work individually or collaboratively on making a zine.
Cost is FREE. All materials provided so just bring yourself. Bookings are essential.
