Āhua Takiwā – Space and Flow of Ahuriri

Āhua Takiwā – Space and Flow of Ahuriri is an associated event of EAST 2018, developed in partnership with Hastings City Art Gallery and the Honours students of the Te Hono ki Toi programme at Ideaschool, EIT.

The exhibition consists of 12 Honours students, all studying towards their Masters of Professional Creative Practice: Te Hono ki Toi, at E.I.T in Taradale. It is a site specific exhibition – focusing on the Ahuriri Estuary, Te Whanganui a Orotu. It is located at Kinross & Co Woolstore. 58 West Quay, Ahuriri (Behind Mexi Mamas), Napier.

The students are: Sarah Chilton; Julienne Dickey; Catherine Hines; El Meyers; Jas Ruru; Gracen Salisbury; Ryan Scott; Kylarni Tamaiva-Eria; Sarah Terry; Joshua Weeks; Kezia Whakamoe; Ange Wilson.

Mediums include painting, photography, ceramics, sculpture, moving image, comic illustration, mixed media installation, small object design and sonic art.
